We’re talking roughly a 4-pound reduction off the stock pull—most factory M&Ps come in around 7 to 8 pounds, so you’re landing in a sweet spot for competition work. The springs are shot-peened and hardened, which means they’ll hold up longer than the stock pieces, and the whole thing is engineered to drop in without extra work in most cases. That said, if you’re not comfortable swapping trigger components yourself, we always recommend having a qualified armorer or gunsmith handle it. Better safe than sorry, especially on a carry or match gun.
One thing to note: this kit is designed to work with M&P pistols that already have an Apex Polymer or Aluminum Action Enhancement Trigger installed. If you’re starting from a stock trigger, you’ll want to grab the corresponding trigger from Apex first. But if you’ve already got that base covered, this is the next logical step.
