This Apex Optic Mount is built to securely attach ACRO footprint optics—including the Steiner MPS—directly to your Glock Gen 6 Optic Ready slide. Machined from solid billet steel in the free state of Arizona, this mount delivers the strength needed for daily carry and high-round-count use along Florida’s coast.
The mount includes a built-in damper that sits in the cavity under the front. This component reduces vibration and closes the light gap between the mount locking key and the slide, helping keep your zero consistent round after round.
Real-world performance you can count on:
- Steel construction: A 9mm slide sees roughly 3000g of acceleration per shot. Aluminum mounts—even 7075—can tear at the rails after a few thousand rounds. Steel handles that force without failure, giving you a mount that lasts.
- Black PVD finish: This corrosion-resistant coating stands up to humidity, salt air, and sweat. No rust, no pitting—just reliable performance in coastal conditions.
- Pre-applied thread locker: Two 4mm x 0.7 mounting screws come with a high-temp thread locker patch already applied. Torque them to 15 in-lb for a secure installation that stays put.
- Designed for the Gen 6 cut: This mount fits slides with the factory Glock Gen 6 optic cut. No modification or adapter plates needed.

- Clean the slide surface thoroughly before mounting. A clean interface ensures proper fit and consistent torque.
- If you’re using a first-generation Steiner MPS optic with the original factory clamp, we recommend the Apex Super Clamp for proper installation.
