Description
The Apex Optic Mount for the FNX-45 Tactical is a direct-fit solution for mounting modern enclosed emitter optics to your factory-cut slide. Priced at $60, this mount replaces the factory optic plate and gives you a rugged, corrosion-resistant platform built for Florida’s coastal environment.
Machined from billet steel with a black oxide finish, this mount resists rust and salt spray better than aluminum alternatives. If you carry near saltwater, sweat on your gear, or deal with high humidity, this finish holds up.
Compatible optics:
- Aimpoint® Acro P-1 & P-2
- Steiner MPS
- Lead & Steel Pandora PB-3
Important fitment notes:
- Designed specifically for the FNX-45 Tactical model with the factory optic cut. Does not fit standard FNX-45 models without the cut.
- Mounts directly to the factory slide using the included screws with thread locker pre-applied — no filing, no adapters, no gunsmithing.
- For the Steiner MPS optic, Apex strongly recommends using their Apex Super Clamp to expand the clamping range. This ensures a solid grip on the MPS body and prevents any shift under recoil.
- If you misplace the included mount screws, you can substitute the short 5-40 threaded screws that came with your FNX-45 Tactical. Keep those in your range bag as backups.
Real-world benefits for EDC:
- Steel construction absorbs recoil forces better than polymer or aluminum plates, keeping zero consistent through thousands of rounds.
- Black oxide finish sheds moisture and resists corrosion on the beach, in the rain, or during humid summer carry.
- Low-profile design keeps the optic close to the bore axis, reducing the need to relearn your point of impact after mounting.
- Direct mount means no extra height over bore — your existing holster fitment and sight picture remain predictable.
What’s in the box:
- Apex Optic Mount (steel, black oxide)
- Optic plate mounting screws with thread locker pre-applied
This mount is for the shooter who wants a reliable, low-maintenance way to run an Acro or MPS on their FNX-45 Tactical. It’s built to handle salt, sweat, and hard use without loosening up or rusting out. If you carry appendix, on the boat
