This magazine, purpose-built for your setup, boosts your round count to either 17 or 19 rounds, giving you more time between reloads at the range or in a defensive scenario. It’s not a generic high-cap mag—it’s a Mec-Gar body, specially reworked by Apex to feed reliably in the Springfield Armory SA-35. We’ve seen these run perfectly with quality domestic ammunition, round after round.
The real-world advantage here is the base pad. It’s not just a bumper—it’s an Apex-engineered pad in black anodized aluminum that blends right into the contour of your frame when paired with their magazine well. That means no snagging on cover garments or gear during a draw. More importantly, the pad features integrated grasping surfaces on both sides. If you ever need to strip a stuck magazine out under pressure, you’ve got a solid purchase point without fumbling.
You get two finish options: Black Oxide or Nickel. For our Florida coastal customers, the Nickel finish is a strong choice—it resists corrosion from humidity, salt air, and sweat far better than standard blued steel. Black Oxide is proven and durable, but if you carry on the water or sweat heavily, the Nickel version will hold up longer against the elements. Both finishes are on the Mec-Gar body, which means you’re starting with one of the most reliable OEM manufacturers in the industry.
Fitment is straightforward but critical. This magazine is designed specifically for the SA-35 equipped with an Apex Tactical Magazine Well. The base pad geometry is matched to that well’s contour. If your pistol does not have that magazine well installed, this base pad will not sit flush—choose the standard SA-35 magazine option instead.
