This fixture is designed specifically for fitting barrels into M&P and M&P M2.0 pistols using a milling machine. It’s not a multi-tool or a catch-all jig — it’s a dedicated solution for one critical job: cutting the barrel hood length so your barrel locks up tight to the slide. That precision fit is what separates a reliable carry piece from one that fails when you need it most.

How it works: The fixture holds your barrel securely in a vertical position, giving you clean, repeatable access to the hood for machining. All necessary hardware is included — no hunting for misc bolts or washers. The key feature is the brass bolt that presses against the barrel. Brass is softer than steel, so it clamps firmly without marring the barrel’s finish. (We strongly recommend against using steel or stainless-steel bolts — they can gouge or deform the barrel, ruining your fitment.)

What it’s for: This fixture is intended only for cutting barrel hood length. If you need to fit the bottom fitting pad (the lug that engages the slide’s locking block), we recommend removing the barrel from this fixture and placing it atop a set of parallels in your vise. With the top of the barrel flat against the parallels and the vise jaws holding the left and right walls, you’ll get stable support for that step.
