Start with the Apex Wide Flat Trigger. Machined from billet steel and finished in ArmorLube™ Duplex DLC, this trigger resists corrosion, abrasion, and wear better than any standard DLC coating you’ll find. The matte black finish is non-reflective — a plus for low-light carry — and it stands up to repeated exposure to sweat, sunscreen, and salt spray. The trigger face is 0.31 inches wide, with a smooth, flat profile and rounded edges. That extra width allows your finger to sit lower on the trigger face, improving leverage and reducing the tendency to pull shots off target. You get a more positive, consistent trigger press every time, with less fatigue during range sessions or training.
The Tank Tread Hammer is inspired by the classic 1911 Commander hammer, but with modern serrations that give you a sure grip for cocking — even with wet or gloved hands. It includes an over-cocking limit pad that prevents the hammer loop from contacting the inside of the beavertail on the OPS Variant during cycling. The hammer hook geometry is matched specifically to the Hi-Power Balanced Sear, so you don’t need to stone or alter engagement surfaces. Together, they produce a clean, crisp trigger break with no grit or creep.
The kit also includes a Sear Lever Spring that improves trigger pull weight while maintaining factory drop safety values. A Firing Pin Spring and Hammer Spring are included and must be installed to achieve the full benefit.
